This little girl is what got me into raising orphaned babies.  She was born January 29, 2004.  Her mom was the first mare I ever lost, and it was to a uterine bleed during delivery.  It was a devastating loss, but we were so blessed with this little baby.  Her registered name is Midnight Pleasure and her mom belonged to Phil & Deb Troost of Lake Arthur, NM.
Her barn name was Sweet Pea.

That's one happy baby!!!  She never knew she was missing anything!

Then when Sweet Pea was only 2 weeks old, we had another mare who had to be put down when her baby was only 2 days old due to a complication from birth.  So then, I had TWO babies!

His barn name was Bubba Earl.  His registered name is Big Digger.  He belongs to Bill Bogle of Dexter, NM.  He was born on February 13, 2004.  They were best of friends and he stayed here with us till he was 4 months old, and Sweet Pea stayed till she was 10 months old.

They came in the office to visit quite often!  They thought it was just another stall.

Both of these babies are now at the race track.  Sweet Pea has only raced once but has had several official work outs and is doing really well.

Bubba Earl has entered several times and won his first race recently in Hobbs, NM.  Both of them have a very promising future and we are extremely proud of them!!
