Services

We don't have any stallions here, so we concentrate solely on the mares and babies.

We are a complete foaling and mare care facility.  When the time comes for foaling, the mares are moved to an inside stall several days before foaling, to allow them to become comfortable with their surroundings.  Two days after foaling, they mare and baby will be moved to a stall with an outside run, weather permitting.  They will stay in these stalls & runs for approximately 2 weeks.  Then, they will be moved to a bigger pen for approximately another 2 weeks, then at a month old, are moved to one of the paddocks.  This progression has worked really well for us.  It teaches the baby about fences before it is turned out in the paddocks where they can really run.

The mares are grouped together in the paddocks according to the age of the babies.   This way, the mares are all in the same stages of "letting go" of their babies and they get along really well this way.

We always want to sincerely encourage each and every mare owner, or potential mare owner to come by anytime to see your horses, or just to check out the facility.  We are ALWAYS open to you.

Within the first few days of foaling, we will get a picture of your mare and baby up on the web site for you to see.  We will  also have live streaming video, so no matter where you are,  you can log on after being given a username and password, and watch your baby stand up and nurse for the first time right after delivery.

Services Include:

24 hour monitoring
Large 16 x 16 foaling stalls
Video Surveillance in all foaling stalls
Veterinarian on call and only minutes away at all times
Umbilical cord care (naval dipped with Iodine solution for the first 3 days
Antibody level in foal's blood measured by Snap test after 24 hours of delivery
Enema administered to foal to decrease risk of meconium impaction
Newborn foal and postpartum mare examinations
60cc of IgG serum administered orally to each foal at time of delivery
5cc Penicillin and Tetanus Antitoxin administered at birth
Paste to prevent Ecoli administered at birth

Approximately 8 hours after delivery, we routinely administer Rhodococcus Plasma to every baby

We also try to get a picture of your mare and foal up on the website as soon as possible after the birth so you can see your baby.

And our newest addition is a LIVE WEB CAM.  After your baby is born, we'll give you the username and password so you can log on and see live pictures on the internet of your mare and baby!
