This is Kirby! He was our little orphan from 2005. His mom was a wonderful mare named Meter Me Quick and belonged to H. C. Trammel and Don Herriage of Lubbock, Texas. It is always such a tragedy to loose a mare, but what an awesome little gift they leave behind for us. He is just the most precious little guy. Here are some pictures of him:
Here he is at about a week old snooping around in the office.
Here he is with his little buddy, Mary Rose. She was rejected by her mom and we were blessed with her for only 8 days, then we lost her to some complications.
Big shots in the making....
Here he is at a month and a half old, running up and down the alleyway, visiting with everybody. He has a really extensive wardrobe.
This is Kirby with his groom.
This is him at 2 months old (as of April 27, 2005). Handsome, huh?
He's so proud. There's not a doubt in his mind that everybody who comes on this place is here to see him!
Ba-da Ba-da Ba-da.... That's all folks!
...........Baby Kirby Update............ Here he is after his very first win. It was a 550 race in Hobbs & yes, I did kiss him full on the lips!!! But he was used to that.....
This was his second win, in Ruidoso, an 870 race and he won it WIRE TO WIRE!!
And this was his 3rd and last win, only two weeks after the previous win! He was on fire!! But hurt his leg so he is now retired and living in Lubbock with his "other parents"... But what an exciting ride he was!!!!
