Irrigation Project We have planted Giant Bermuda grass in all 9 paddocks. Here are some pictures of the project. Click here to see pictures of the paddocks with grass.
This is the plow that put in the irrigation tape. Each tape is placed in the ground 40" apart and has an emitter in the tape every 2 feet.
You just tie the tape onto the fence and start plowing. We put in approximately 250 thousand feet of tape!
The plow puts the tape in at a pre-determined depth (ours was 10 1/2")
We had to build a 14' X 18' building for the elaborate filtration system that goes with this project. These filters take any sand, solids, ect. out of the water before it ever gets to the tapes. We will also be putting fertilizer, root activator, weed killer, etc. through this part of the system. It all goes in underground, and is set with an automatic timer.
